The saga of Epic Games versus Apple seems to be getting closer to its natural conclusion, as the developer submitted the Fortnite app to the smartphone giant.

This means that Epic is waiting for final approval ahead of publishing the massively popular battle royale game on iOS in the United States once again, as promised last week.

This was mentioned by the developer on X (formerly Twitter).

We’ve submitted Fortnite for review to Apple to launch in the U.S. App Store.

Of course, the outcome remains to be seen. Apple seems poised to continue to fight the recent court decision that saw the company defeated quite spectacularly. It has requested a stay of its effect until the appeal, and we don’t yet know whether the motion will be granted or denied.

In the meantime, Epic has boosted its Epic Rewards program to further encourage the use of its store and payment system.

By making purchases on Fortnite, Rocket League, and Fall Guys using Epic’s payment system (regardless of location) on PC, iOS, Android, and on the web, you’ll get 20% back in Epic Rewards credit instead of the previous 5%. This is permanent.

On top of that, if you use Epic’s payment system on the Epic Games Store on whatever game (including those from other companies), you’ll also get 20% back in Epic Rewards credit, but this part lasts only until August 31.

Below, you can see what the choice will look like in Fortnite on iOS.

In other Fortnite news, the game recently received a new season, fully themed after the popular Star Wars franchise, with new gameplay and plenty of skins inspired by the saga. The developers went as far as turning a meme into reality by creating a Darth Jar Jar skin.
