Today, Bethesda has released the beta for the latest update to its hit space action RPG, Starfield.
Starfield update 1.15.214 focuses primarily on fixes, as it features numerous improvements for Quests, vehicles, UI, and the Shattered Space DLC. New features have also provided additional support for Creations.
Features-wise, Creations has added a new Very Low display setting, the ability to add new icons to the game, bundles, and a size increase of up to 2 GB. It also received bug fixes for mod deletion errors and resolved crashes occurring when loading a plugin with an ingredient form.
Gameplay bugs like Cargo Link and Robot build limits, missiles not providing XP awards, and audio and damage errors that were occurring during At Hell’s Gate: The Crucible Blade have also been fixed. You can see the full list of notable and small patch changes alike right here.
Since releasing on September 6, 2023, Starfield has garnered mixed reviews from critics and fans, with some praising its expansive world while others have come away disappointed by its overall story and focus on quantity over quality regarding the makeup of each planet. Despite this, the action RPG still reached its all-time concurrent player base peak of 330,000 while also being played by over 13 million people since last December.
Anyone interested in testing the beta build of Starfield update 1.15.214 can do so by heading to Steam and installing it via the properties section of the game’s settings. The game is currently available on Xbox Series X|S and PC starting at $69.99; the Shattered Space DLC is available separately for $29.99, though it does require the base game to play.
