Pomshine Games and Dangen Entertainment have revealed the release date for Umami Grove, along with a new trailer that was released at the same time.
Umami Grove is a VR cooking adventure game where players will explore a new world while fulfilling their cozy cooking mission centered around acorns. They’ll need to forage for ingredients, which includes dealing with platforming-style challenges. Even some of the most simple things, like climbing a tree to get the best piece of fruit, can prove challenging in the VR game.
The environments throughout the open world also include a physics system that should pose a comfortable challenge to players. The world itself is centered around each season, which is seen in the release date trailer.
There are also a variety of NPCs to meet and interact with that are also featured in the trailer. Players will help them, whether that’s cooking them a tasty meal or helping them walk around. The world of Umami Grove is unpredictable, and some of these characters can even be used as ingredients.
Umami Grove is meant to be whimsical, and the atmosphere shown off so far seems to fit that. The NPCs are cute and quirky, and the game’s art style makes it clear that this isn’t a serious cooking game.
Excited fans can watch the Umami Grove release date trailer below:
Umami Grove will be released on April 24, 2025, on Steam, the Meta Store, and the PICO Store. It seems as though it will also be released on the PSVR2, though more information about that will come in the future.
