Today, Lemonpepper Games officially launched its new cooking RPG title, Kitchen Sync: Aloha.
Kitchen Sync: Aloha transports players to Maikai, a beach town that is all about food, family, and friendship. The journey follows Kai or Kala, two siblings attempting to restore their family’s restaurant while making their mark on the restaurant and food industry.
Regardless of which sibling you control, you’ll need to hire a team of chefs to help grow your business and advance the story. Each new culinary artist you add to your team features unique skills, personal ambitions, and stories, some of which even feature their own romantic endings.
Unlike most cooking games, like Overcooked!, Kitchen Sync: Aloha puts more of an emphasis on playing at your own pace, featuring three difficulty modes that let you adjust the frantic nature of your kitchen accordingly. This variety lets you play with no timer or challenge yourself on Hard Boiled mode to prove who the best chef on the island is.
There are over 30 kitchens to cook in, including locals on beaches, restaurants, malls, food trucks, resorts, and other tropical locations, all set against the beauty of a lush Hawaiian island. There are also a slew of different mini-games to enjoy, like fishing and hiking with your fellow chefs.
Kitchen Sync: Aloha is now available on Steam for $19.99, but anyone who gets it during launch week will also get an additional 20% off, bringing it down to $15.99. For more info on this and other cozy simulators coming to Steam, be sure to check back to Simulation Daily.
