Today, Dovetail Games revealed its hit simulation title, Train Sim World 5, would be getting a brand new update to help implement some much needed fixes across the base game and its add-on content. The patch is set to arrive in the next 24 hours and may start automatically.
The London Overground Suffragette Line is the subject of a fair amount of improvements, as the Class 710’s AI brake squeal loop and the safety system failing to move when activated in both cabs have been corrected. Issues with the locos errantly darkening whilst passing through ECML line bridge area have also been resolved.
Next, the Metrolink F59PHR got an adjustment to its dynamic braking to make it sound like a more realistic engine RPM and the TMS/Alerter can now be reset by pressing or moving the controls. They also fixed the ‘Forward Door Close’ button and closed the player’s door for the Rotem Bi-Level Cab Car while in Condutor Mode.

The full Train Sim World 5 changelog includes fixes to locations like Pfälzische Ludwigsbahn: Mannheim – Kaiserslautern and adjustments to trains like the ScotRail BR Class 380 EMU. You can check the full list out here via the Steam post here.
In other news for the series, Pullup Entertainment recently announced the appointment of two new Co-CEOs to lead Dovetail Games, Gemma Brown and Rob O’Farrel.
