A gameplay trailer for Bleach Rebirth of Souls has dropped, showing off how combat works in the fighting game. Using one of the epic battles from inside the Soul Society, Ichigo Kurosaki versus Byakuya Kuchiki, Tamsoft Corporation demonstrated how to win.
The first step is to destroy the opponent’s Reishi, breaking their Konpaku little by little. There are multiple levels of Reishi, and each time it’s depleted, it chips away at the opponent’s Konpaku. All in all, there are nine levels of Konpaku to destroy as well.
When the opportunity presents itself, using a Spiritual Pressure move can destroy multiple Konpaku levels at once. This looks like it’ll be a good way to either turn the battle around or secure a win.
While players attack, their Spiritual Power will build. At a certain level, they can release special Spiritual Power moves. Additionally, reverse action moves use Spiritual Power as well, and players can use them while defending. Combos are a key part of the battles with these types of moves.
After dealing enough damage, then players can unleash their Bankai and reach an Awakened state. Bankai will more than likely deal the most damage out of all the possible attacks as a sort of final move.
The Bleach Rebirth of Souls gameplay trailer showed off Ichigo and Byakuya as playable characters. The original announcement confirmed a few more: Rukia Kuchiki, Uryu Ishida, and Chad (Yasutora Sado). Other characters have been seen but not confirmed yet, including Orihime Inoue, Yoruichi Shihouin, Kisuke Urahara, and Renji Abarai.
Bleach Rebirth of Souls doesn’t have a release date yet. The game is set to release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. For more news on fighting games, check out Heihachi Mishima’s return to Tekken 8 and Terry Bogard in Street Fighter 6.
