This general aviation light aircraft doesn’t have a release date just yet, but according to the developer, it’s “coming soon.”

It promises advanced SkyView avionics simulator (which I imagine is the reason for the “SV” in the name), an accurate flight model, and a high-quality FMOD sound pack.

You can check out what the aircraft looks like and get a glimpse of its features in the trailer released today, which you can enjoy below.

The trailer shows both the interior and its avionics, alongside the exterior model. We also get a sample of the sound pack and we hear that it’ll support the TDS GTN70 NXi or the RXP GTN 750.

If you’re unfamiliar with the Diamond DA20 Katana, it’s a lightweight general aviation two-seater by Diamond Aircraft originally named DV20 when it was produced in Austria, before production moved to Canada. It first flew in 1991 and it has been produced in over 1,000 units since 1994. It’s still in production today.

If you’re unfamiliar with X-Plane, version 12 is currently available exclusively for PC. Its developer, Laminar Research, recently released update 12.1.3 and is currently working on 12.1.4, which will focus on flight lessons and more.

If you’re interested in aircraft by Diamond, COWS is also working on a DA40-XLS, which will eventually be released for X-Plane 12. We don’t know when, as it’ll come to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and 2020 first.
