Every year in January, DCS World developer Eagle Dynamics releases a trailer and information outlining what’s coming to the simulator during that year and beyond.
The “2025 And Beyond” drop now has a date, thanks to a post on X (formerly Twitter). We know that it’ll come in less than two weeks on January 16.
The image from the post also provides us with some glimpses of what we’ll see. One topic is definitely going to be the Eurofighter Typhoon that Heatblur and TrueGrit announced all the way back in 2021. Yes. This kind of project takes time to come to fruition.
Speaking of taking time, we also get a tease of news on the dynamic campaign, which Eagle Dynamics itself defines as a “safe bet.” That’s also a project that has been in ED’s own oven for quite some time.

If you’re unfamiliar with DCS World, it’s a free-to-play military flight simulator focusing on aviation from World War 2 to the present day. It’s available exclusively on PC.
Of course, only the base package is free, and fully enjoying the simulator requires the purchase of additional modules like the Eurofighter Typhoon mentioned above, albeit Eagle Dynamics has a pretty solid trial and introductory discount programs, on top of frequent sales.
DCS World is well known among enthusiasts to be quite challenging for those who aren’t familiar with complex flight simulation. Enjoying most of its advanced aircraft requires days or even weeks of study. That being said, this isn’t necessarily a bad thing and many hardcore simmers find it quite rewarding.
