A few weeks ago, Activision teased a crossover between Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone and the Netflix show Squid Game. Today, we get to see more.
Activision released a trailer showing a variety of content coming for the collaboration, which will launch on January 3, in less than two weeks.
Specifically, we hear that it’ll include dedicated operators, weapon blueprints, limited-time game modes, and more.
At the moment, we don’t have more specific information just yet, but it certainly looks like a large-scale crossover and not just the usual skins.
You can watch the trailer and begin speculating below about the specific details of the collaboration.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is currently available for PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, and PS4, on top of Microsoft’s Game Pass on PC and on Xbox (excluding the Game Pass Core service).
Call of Duty: Warzone is a free-to-play battle royale game mode available for the same platforms.
If you’re unfamiliar with Squid Game, it’s a South Korean survival thriller TV series that debuted on Netflix in 2021. Written and directed by Hwang Dong-hyuk, it tells the story of a contest in which hundreds of players risk their lives in the hope of winning enough money to fix their financial problems.
A second season debuted this month on Netflix, while a third is already being filmed and will debut in 2025. It’s said to be the final season of the story, so we’ll soon be able to know how it all ends.
