Today developer Slavic Magic showcased some of the features coming with the next update of the medieval strategy simulation game Manor Lords.
In the official post made on Steam, get to see two new maps that are being implemented, on top of new building upgrades.
How ale and water are distributed to settlements has been overhauled and the same goes for marketplace goods distribution. The developers have tested three different systems to find a solution that is “engaging, intuitive, and easy-to-understand.”
Distribution filters for marketplaces will also be introduced with the update. It’s worth mentioning that these are just some of the features coming in the update, and the wording of the post appears to indicate that there will be more.

If you’re unfamiliar with Manor Lords, it’s a strategy simulation game focusing on city building, tactical battles, and economy simulation. It’s currently in early access for PC.
At the moment, we don’t know when the game will leave early access, but despite its unfinished state, it has been extremely popular among fans of the genre.
As of September, the game sold 2.5 million units, which is certainly flattering for an indie game belonging to a niche genre. It’s currently among the nominees for The Game Awards for Best Debut Indie Game and Best Strategy/Sim game.
Don’t get me started about the fact that strategy and simulation games are bunched up in the same category, but that would require an entire dedicated article, and it wouldn’t be charitable.
