Today, the Esports World Cup added another huge multiplayer title to its lineup of games players will compete in, as Call of Duty: Warzone has been announced as the third official title for the event.

Call of Duty: Warzone is the third game that has been announced for the 2025 Esports World Cup, joining Honor of Kings and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. In total, there will be 24 games announced for the event, which will take place in the summer and will be hosted by Saudi Arabia, featuring teams from all over the world to compete in the most popular games.

In the past, those titles have included Apex Legends, DOTA 2, Overwatch 2, Tekken 8, Rocket League, League of Legends, EA Sports FC, Fortnite, Rainbow Six Seige, StarCraft II, Teamfight Tactics, PUBG, and even Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. There is no guarantee that any of these titles will fill the remaining 21 slots, but there is always a chance, especially considering how popular some of them still are.

To reach the Esports World Cup 2025, players and teams must compete in multiple qualifiers throughout specific global regions. Last year, there were three different formats: a knockout stage, a points rush, and a grand final.

Call of Duty: Warzone also becomes the first title to appear in multiple Esports World Cups, as it was part of the inaugural event last year – where Team Falcons narrowly edging out Fnatic to win the first place prize of $200,000 and 1000 CC Points. It replaces the Gamer8 Esports Festival from the Saudi Esports Federation, which started in 2022.
