Today SCS Games released a new look at one of the upcoming regional DLCs for its popular sim Euro Truck Simulator 2.
Specifically, the reveal shows some of the lush forests that will be included in the Nordic Horizons DLC, which will include Norway, Sweden, and Finland.
While the forest biomes are similar between these countries, there are differences, and we’ll be able to enjoy them as we travel across borders.
In the north of the region, we’ll see more sparse, open landscapes, while in the southernmost areas forests will be more dense and feature taller trees. There will also be more diverse species, resulting in a greener, more lush forestry.
You can check out the screenshots below and see if they entice you to plan a few trips to the northern countries of Europe. I don’t know about you, but seeing them makes me want to go hiking.
Euro Truck Simulator 2 is available exclusively for PC. Its version 1.53 recently entered beta testing including the much-awaited German rework.
Recently, the simulator got a spiffy Driving Academy feature, while fans are expecting another DLC, focused on Greece.
A few weeks ago, the game was in attendance at several booth at IAA Transportation 2024 in Hannover, once more showcasing the inevitable ties between simulation and real-world transportation and logistics.
Incidentally, if you’re interested in the sister game American Truck Simulator, it just entered its own beta for version 1.53 (both games are developed pretty much in parallel), including the latest phase of the rework of California.
