Buckle up, park simulation management fans. Today, Frontier Developments showed off its brand new launch trailer for its upcoming theme park simulator Planet Coaster 2.
The trailer showcases many of the game’s unique creative aspects. Players will use their imagination and building skills to create true-to-life theme parks. Shape everything from the coasters to the pools and all of the plazas and pathways in between.
Alongside building up the park, Planet Coaster 2 also requires you to manage and budget. Provide guests with proper accommodations, like shade and sunscreen for pool areas, and make sure that the prices are marked fairly and you’re profits and reviews will skyrocket, allowing you to expand your empire even more.
Planet Coaster 2 is the successor to the popular Planet Coaster, which launched in 2016. Thanks to its deep customization and user-created content, it helped revitalize the genre made famous by Rollercoaster Tycoon.
Even though the original is nearly a decade old, there are still new user creations being posted to the game’s Steam Workshop today. With all of the new and improved options that are coming alongside the sequel, it seems like management simulation fans will have plenty of new parks to create for the next decade or so as well.
Planet Coaster 2 arrives on November 6, 2024, for PC (Steam & Epic Games), PS5, Xbox Series X|S at 10 AM EST. It is available now for pre-order, priced at $49.99 for the standard edition and $64.99 for the deluxe.
The deluxe edition includes three extra rides (Outamax Water Coaster), (The Cube), and (FD Vision), while anyone who pre-orders can get the Vintage Funfair Ride Pack for free.
