Today Sega revealed a massive chunk of gameplay of its upcoming action-adventure game Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii Reveals Over an Hour of Gameplay.
The gameplay is from the demo of the game, including some roaming, character customization, lots of fighting and even the inevitable minigames.
It’s worth mentioning that the demo has not yet been released publicly. Sega usually does make demos of Yakuza/Like a Dragon games available, so it’s probably just a matter of time.
In the meanwhile, you can watch the extensive video below.
If you’re not familiar with Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, it’s a spin-off of the Like a Dragon (formerly Yakuza) series similar to Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, but a lot wackier.
While it features a similar Hawaiian setting as Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, it completely changes tone as it focuses on Goro Majima and his adventures as a pirate.
Interestingly, it features naval combat and exploration, which is certainly a brand-new feature for the franchise. It’s also interesting to see Majima-san’s craziness turned up to eleven.
Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii releases on February 21, 2025, for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.
