If you love Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator, but you feel that your trucking skills aren’t up to snuff, don’t worry. Help has arrived.
The folks at SCS Software have released the previously announced driving academy in both games, providing new content for novices and veteran truckers alike.
The academy, which has been showcased in several livestreams over the past few weeks, does pretty much what it says on the tin, offering challenges of increasing difficulty designed to hone your skills at the wheel and teach you what you need to know for smooth deliveries.
To celebrate the launch, we also got a trailer, which you can watch below, giving you a better idea of what this driving academy business is all about, if it wasn’t abundantly clear.
Both Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator are available exclusively for PC. They have recently been updated to version 1.51 with the addition of quite a few features.
American Truck Simulator also just received the Arkansas DLC alongside two trucks, the much-awaited Mack Pinnacle, and the brand-new Fifth Generation Freightliner Cascadia. Lousiana has just been announced and should follow Missouri, which doesn’t have a release date yet.
Euro Truck Simulator 2, which uses the same engine and follows the same development track but is obviously set in Europe.
A few weeks ago the games were in attendance at IAA Transportation 2024 in Hannover, which was another showcased of the inevitable ties between simulation and real-world transportation and logistics.
